  • What is EFT, and how does it work?
EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), also known as tapping, is a therapeutic technique that combines elements of cognitive therapy and exposure therapy with acupressure. It is founded on the premise that ‘all negative emotion is caused by a disruption in the body’s energy system’. EFT uses tapping with fingers on specific acupressure or ‘meridian points’ while repeating a ‘set up phrase’, relating to a specific issue, problem, etc, to bring about balance and healing.
  • What types of issues can EFT help with?
EFT can be used to treat a wide variety of physical and psychological disorders, such as anxiety, stress, trauma, phobias, addictions, aches and pains, etc.
  • Is EFT safe? Are there any side effects?
: EFT is generally considered safe. Any negative emotions that may arise from bringing up adverse issues can be alleviated by adapting the set-up phrase, and further tapping.
  • How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions required varies depending on the individual and the complexity of the issues being addressed. Some people experience significant relief after just one session. One of the many benefits of EFT is that you can continue using it independently once you've learned the technique
  • Is EFT therapy suitable for children and teens?
Yes, EFT can be very effective for children and teens. It is easily adapted to suit individual needs. It is used in some schools to help children manage issues, such as anxiety, stress etc.
